IT IS THE DAY! The Imagine Blog Tour train has stopped here at AFH! So let’s cue that beautiful cover and blurb:

Coming September 21, 2021!

It’s time to imagine…

Such a small word for such a huge impact it has. Every great story begins here—at that moment after the idea but before the story is completed. The spark. The vision. The idea that will expand into a story that clings to readers’ hearts for a lifetime. An author’s story is limited only by his imagination, and how far he is willing to go to breathe life into characters. To build the foundations of another world. To see the struggles and envision the victories. To search for the magic burning in the darkness.

Teen Writers’ Nook presents a collection of short stories and poems from talented young authors that will take you beyond the boundaries of your mind. From snarky protagonists to the tear-jerking sacrifice. From mystical fantasy worlds to indescribable sci-fi stories. Thrilling adventures, daring choices, inspiring messages, heartfelt romances, and everything beyond. Maybe—just maybe—these tales will have you journey past reality and to the depths of your imagination. Will you take the risk and embark through the pages of this book?

Featuring work from Alaine Darkwood, Alexa Peterson, Allie Jo Andersen, Chloe B. Christensen, Faith Elizabeth, Grace A. Johnson, Grey S. Park, Linyang Zhang, Lissa Johnson, Lorelei Angelino, Penelope Rugan, Selah Sigmon, Victoria Crooks, and V. L. Smith!

Go pre-order the e-book right now!

Did you do it? Did you pre-order the e-book? *narrows eyes* Well, you should do it or else Alexa’s going to come haunt you in your dreams. And better yet, the book will be available in both e-book and print format! So you can have a physical copy that you can hold IN YOUR HANDS. How cool is that?

Today I will be interviewing the fabulous VICTORIA!! Victoria is a fantastic gal whose story, ‘To Risk the Truth’ is also featured in the anthology! As I’ve come to know her over the past few years (just kidding, I haven’t known her for that long XD) I’ve found that she is the sweetest, funniest, most diligent person I’ve ever met! Y’all better go pop on her blog to see for yourself!! You can visit her right HERE!

Now onto the interview! *gives everyone snacks*

My questions are bolded and Victoria’s answers are (not bolded?) I just realized how weird that sounds.

#1. Was this the first time you’ve ever written a short story/poem? If so, what was something you learned through the process?

This actually wasn’t the first time I’ve written a short story! I’ve kind of been dabbling in writing since I was about 10 or 11 but have just gotten more serious about it in the past year or so. That said, there are a loooooot of written (and *coughs* mostly unfinished) short stories I’ve done. XD

#2. Where did you get the inspiration for your short story? Was it a particular song, book, or something else?

Hehe, so I have two answers for this one. 😉 The first thing that helped inspire my short story was the ocean! My fam and I were at the beach in June and I just remember looking out towards the water and feeling so amazed at how powerful and beautiful it was as the water crashed against the shore and stretched out farther than the eye could see. It really reflected how powerful God is for creating something like that!

The second thing that helped spark the idea for my short story, was the story of Queen Esther in the Bible. I had been kinda thinking about doing a retelling of a Bible story, but wasn’t sure how or which one to use. I can’t remember if I actually settled on doing that or not, but either way, I guess the story of Esther just stayed in the back of my head because you’ll see a loooot of similar elements from Esther weaving its way into mine. So, I guess it ended up becoming a Bible story retelling after all! XD

That’s so cool where you found your inspiration!!

#3. What has been one thing you’ve learned after going through the process to be published in the Imagine Anthology?

Y’all, I HANDS DOWN had no idea how much editing it takes for even just a 5,000 something word story. (Makes me wanna give a huge round of applause to all of my favorite authors for what they go through.) XD So, although it was a lot of work, I really enjoyed seeing my story morph from a second draft (I actually had my family give me feedback on it before I sent it into Teen Writers’ Nook #WayOverTheWordCountThere) ;P into a fifth and final draft!

#4. Can you give us a fun fact of something that happened during the writing and/or editing process? Hilarious typo? Weird fact you had to search? Best edit you received?

Oh hmmm, I’ll have to think on that one for a sec. *racks brain* Well, at one point I did way too much research on the speed of sound…along with mind boggling conversions from miles per hour to kilometers to hours and crazy stuff like that. (Mind you, I did NOT do that math by myself. I did it with my pet genie, Google.) XP Aaaand of course, I didn’t end up using any of it specifically in my story, but I did learn some pretty cool facts with how fast sound can go and that it’s way different (and slower) than the speed of light (which I may or may not have kept getting mixed up with each other.) XD

#5. Do you have any words of inspiration for other young authors?

  1. If you ever enter a writing contest ALWAYS make sure to read and REVIEW the rules constantly. (Let’s just say there’s an interesting story behind that in my case…) XD
  2. If possible, try not to end up waiting until 2-3 days before the contest deadline to write and submit your story. If you do though, then I will warn you: bleary computer screen eyes and a way too tired mind will be some lovely side effects. (If you’re a coffee drinker, then that may be your last hope.) XD
  3. Pray, pray, pray!!! Y’all, I’m tellin’ ya, if you’re having ANY trouble with your writing then just ask God to guide you and to show you what to do ‘cause He will! It may take some patience on your part and some days you may be ready to give up waiting for an answer, but He will give you one in His perfect timing and probably through ways you don’t expect! 😉

Y’all, Victoria is the gal to go to when you need advice!

#6. Outside of writing, what do you like to do for fun?

I love to read (obviously) XD, listen to music, play the piano and guitar, hang out with my family, watch movies and TV shows, ummm…what else…OH, well duh. I love to blog! XDD So yeah, that’s pretty much it!

#7. Have you ever been published before?

I have, actually! In 2018, I wrote a short story/fanfiction thing for a writing contest hosted by author Susan K. Marlow. I ended up tying in third place (which I wasn’t even expecting to win a place at all) XD and it got published in a book with all of the other winning stories. You can find it on Amazon (it’s called Into the Sunset 2018 Contest Winners) buuut, hehe, that’s the amauter work of me at a pretty young age so I’d advise caution reading it. XD (And in all honesty, I feel like I got “more published” in Imagine since I had a say of the final product and went through the edits. With Into the Sunset I think Susan K. Marlow did all of the edits herself and all I did was write the first draft of a story.) XD

Now I know what I’m going to read this afternoon! XD

#8. What was your favorite part of writing your story and why?

Auuugh, WHY this question?!?! Oh wait, I made it up…eheh. Let’s seeeee….I guess my favorite part was writing my main character. I don’t wanna say too much out of spoiling the story, but let’s just say her worldview is one that I haven’t dabbled in before and it was interesting trying my hand at creating the thoughts and opinions one might have with that worldview. I know, that probably sounds super confusing, but if you read my story it might make more sense. 😉

#9 What was one of the toughest struggles you’ve had as a writer and how did you overcome it?

Oh, DEFINITELY finding the time to write. Which…I’m still in the process of trying to overcome that. XD Juggling life and writing can be really hard especially if you’re super busy so I’m working on how to balance both right now.

Who can relate? *raises hand* ME! Balance is such a hard thing in life, I’m sure only a couple of humans on this earth have mastered it. XP

#10 What is one message you want readers to take away from your story?

That God is the greatest being in existence and no one can ever be more powerful than Him. It’s just a fact, really. I mean, can you create an entire universe out of nothing by speaking a single word? (‘Cause I know I sure can’t.) XD It’s pretty humbling too, knowing that our lives are literally in God’s hands and He could kill each of us in less than a blink of an eye if He wanted to. However, He doesn’t do that because He loves us even when we don’t act very lovable. (Which is probably a really hard thing to do.) XD

You said it perfectly!

Oh my gosh guys, weren’t Victoria’s answers amazing? *gives Victoria chocolate* THANK YOU SO MUCH for letting me interview you, girl!!!!!! It was a blast!!!! Now y’all, if you want to see yours truly featured on Victoria’s blog on the 20th, you can pop on over to her site right here! (I know, I know, I can barely wait either!!!!!) 😉

Remember that Sparks mock cover reveal I promised you? Today’s your lucky day! But first, I’m going to start with all the Sparks graphics!

Now it’s time for the mock cover reveal!

Can You Relate? | 5 Relatable Writing Problems [WIP Update!]

Hello besties!! *waves to all* I’m back!

Im Back Woody GIF - Im Back Woody Toys Story2 GIFs

(Yes, I have to include a “I’m back” gif…)

And I brought with me a fun packed post! Now, you may be wondering, where’s the TLT post?? Ah yes, I knew you would ask that question. Well, that post will officially be the next post!! (for real this time!) If you haven’t submitted questions for this post, you can do so HERE! Even if you were just a spectator, feel free to submit questions!

Now, let’s get into today’s post! Here are five relatable writing problems for you!

#1 When you sit down to write but realize you forgot all your notes in another room.

This happens to me ALL THE TIME!! I’ll go to write and realize I left all my plotting notes in a different room. So, I’ll go to fetch them, sit down, and write. Then later in the day, I’ll go to write in a different spot and realize I left the notes in the spot before.

It’s a real problem.

#2 Today I’m going to write! NOT.

Does this ever happen to you? (Because it always seems to happen to me!) You say in the morning: oh I’m going to be really productive today and get a lot of words written in my novel!

*night falls*

*sheepish smile*

*realizes all the days that I could’ve been productive but wasn’t*

*realizes how many words I COULD HAVE written*

*face palm*

#3 You hop on Pinterest to look up something real quick and end up wasting an hour of writing time.

Scroll Scrolling GIF - Scroll Scrolling Addiction GIFs

YES, YES, YES, YES!! I relate to this one A TON!! I’ve wasting so many hours scrolling through Pinterest. Or the internet. (I get distracted easily, okay?)

*composes self*

Okay, I really need limit myself on these types of things. But that’s nearly impossible! There’s just too much creative stuff on there! 😍

#4 You spend more time making graphics than writing.

I totally don’t do this…

But, while we are on the subject, if you want to see some awesome graphics from my WIP and read an interview from one of my characters, click HERE!

Excuse me?

*sighs* What Wren? What do you want this time?

When are you going to interview me? I’m the main character of your book after all.

Dude, your time will come.

Can we do it now?

Since when did you want to be interviewed? I thought you would rather be out doing “dangerous” stuff.

Since I got a ton of fans on here. It’s like I’m a celebrity.

Go away.

No, ma’am. I’m staying put.

Excuse me, bloggers, while I deal with this problem.

*walks away*

2 minutes later…

*comes back*

There. That’s solved. (Don’t ask what I did…) XD Which leads us to our next problem.

#5 You enjoy torturing your characters.

*rubs hands evilly* No offense to you Wren, but that’s what us writers do. We have to keep the story interesting! And that’s the only way to do it, making you go through rough stuff.

That’s a wrap! Well, first, I have to update y’all on my WIP. It’s going great! *cough*

Actually, I’ve been taking a break. I have been spending too much time on it so I decided to shift my focus to another project for a bit. I’ve also been making a lot of graphics lately. *hides in corner* *smiles*

Interviewing Baeli: A Character in My Latest WIP

Hi peeps! Today, I’ve brought a super good friend of mine that happens to be Wren’s friend as well. I thought it would be a blast to interview her so you guys can get to know her better!

Let’s jump in! But wait! Don’t forget that the Back to School contest is due tomorrow! Click HERE for more information if you are interested in entering. FYI, this is a very lowkey contest!

Before I bring in this special person, I think she deserves a proper introduction, don’t you think? This friend of mine, Baeli, is one of the most thoughtful people I’ve met. She’s ONE of the main characters in my WIP but not THE main character. (That job is left to Wren.)

Ladies and gentlemen, here’s Baeli!

(Baeli’s answers will be italicized and mine will be bold.)

Hi Baeli! Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to join me on the blog!

You bet! I didn’t have anything else to do and besides, I thought it would be super cool to meet your blogging friends.

Well, they are some of the best people in the world! Now, let’s get started with the first question: What is your full name?

Baeli. That’s my full name. I do have a last name but I try to forget it. It’s not a last name I’m proud of having.

Yeah, I can agree with you on that one. Do you have any siblings?

Nope. I’m an only child.

That sucks.

I know.

How old are you?

Where do you live now, and with whom?

Well, as of recently, I moved into a top secret hideout. I’ve sworn to keep secrecy so I can’t tell you anymore information.

“Don’t worry about it. I can see where you are coming from. You’ve hated my kind all your life and now that I’m here, you’ve been forced to trust me and let me reside here.”

Aww, really? Dang it, I wanted some new secrets to keep. Okay, now we are going to jump out of the basic questions and jump into some more random ones. On what occasions do you lie?

I don’t really like to lie. I prefer not to lie. BUT, I will lie to keep my loved ones safe.

Perfect answer. Are you right or left handed?

Ooh! Are you optimistic or pessimistic?

Optimistic. Why not always try to find the good in something?

Wow. I really need to take some life lessons from you. What is your favorite color?

White. It represents purity and innocence. And I always try to be innocent and not get into trouble.

Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?

I prefer to have a plan. Especially where I live and what I do, you need to have a plan.

Does that mean you are a spy?

Umm, not exactly a spy but I go on secret missions.

“Leave the guns. I won’t help your wounded bird if you bring the guns in.”

Secret missions?

If I told you, they wouldn’t be so secret.

*Huffs* fine. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?

Introverted. Well, extroverted to some people.

Okay now, we are going deep. How would you describe your childhood?

Nothing magical. Just a child and two parents trying to survive. And then about halfway through my childhood, it was just one person trying to survive. Don’t ask where the other two people went.

What is your greatest regret?

Not saving someone’s life.

What is your greatest fear? Which other person knows about this fear of yours?

I have several fears but I’m not going to list my greatest one. But, I do have a fear of needles. And Wren definitely knows about this one. *cough*

“Would you hold my hand? I know that sounds really weird to ask but I need something to squeeze. Otherwise, I’m going to end up punching someone.”

What do you want most in life?

For everyone to be happy. That’s my goal. And I’m still working on it.

What a beautiful goal! Are you a glass-half-full or glass-half-empty kind of person?

Half full.

And that will wrap it up! Thanks so much for joining me!

No problem! I enjoyed it!

That’s all for today! Thank you so much for tapping into this post and I hope you enjoyed it!

Back to School & Writing Vlog ☕ | A Sneak Peek Into My Life |

Hi peeps! Welcome back! There was a lot of things I could post today such as fantasy character stuff, a Legend of Tanith behind the scenes post, or Memes, Quotes, Pics! but I decided to share this with you guys because it is almost time for me to go back to school! (Don’t worry though, all the posts mentioned above will be coming soon!)

Note: I know the title says vlog but this isn’t really a vlog. I didn’t know what else to call it. XD

I’m kind of looking forward to going back to school and kind of not. I have mixed feelings. Are you guys going back to school or in school already? How has it been going? I would love to hear from you!

My Thoughts on School

I don’t hate school. But I don’t love it either. There are some days I wish I was homeschooled. And there are some days when I wish I wasn’t. (I’m a very confusing person.)

I always look forward to my “good classes.” The classes that I know will be fun or exciting that day. And I then I dread everything else. I dislike the classes that suck, I hate interacting with people (other than my friends), and I get so nervous just driving to school that I can’t function just right.

Otherwise known as anxiety. That’s why school isn’t my favorite because it just makes me SO ANXIOUS. Ask my friends.

I Know That Feel Bro - Pokemon GIF - Metoo GIFs

Some people might think that it is just her getting nervous or maybe she’s just a little scared. But guys, IT’S A REAL THING!

Anxiety Attack GIF - Anxiety Attack Anxious GIFs

Okay, now I really want to turn this into a “can you relate?” anxiety post. Maybe I’ll do this some other time.

But that’s my thoughts about school. Honestly, I feel like deleting this section right now because it doesn’t relate THAT much but I’ll keep it in.

You’re welcome.

*mic drop*

Back to School Shopping

Here’s where you guys come in! I’m about to do a back to school shopping haul/trip that I do every year and I need some suggestions. Any cute gadgets or clothes you’ve seen lately?

And I need more help. I got white shoes the other day and I’m debating whether or not to keep them white or paint them.

Walmart $15 Sneakers Are TikTok's Big New Trend — Here's Why – Footwear News

If I do paint them, what design/colors should I use?

Writing Vlog ☕

For this writing “vlog”, I’m going to give you guys a sneak peek into my writing routine. This routine is still being developed and I’ve been trying new things out, but here’s the current schedule I’m following.

I prefer to write either in the morning or in the afternoon. If I write in the morning, I will write outside while the world is quite for a bit. If I write in the afternoon, I will write inside since it would be too hot outside.

In the morning, I will usually make myself a smoothie bowl.

(That’s one of the smoothie bowls I had a few weeks ago!)

Smoothie bowls always make me feel more productive and definitely get me into the writing mood.

Before I sit down to write, I will grab a couple more things.

First, I will always (or I should always) grab a glass of water. My favorite thing is to put Fruit Infusions in my water to give it a bit of a kick.

True Lemon (FRUIT INFUSIONS): LEMON STRAWBERRY 4pk | 0 Calories, 0 Sugar, Non-GMO (True Citrus) | Includes a convenient travel case.: Grocery & Gourmet Food
Not my image. (My favorite flavor so far is lemon strawberry!)

Second, I will grab my blue light glasses. These block the blue light that comes from screens and helps reduce eye strain. These glasses are my go-to thing when I’m working on the computer for long amounts of time. If you know me, I’m always trying to find a way to minimize my time on screens between blogging, writing, reading, and editing so my blue light glasses definitely help BIG TIME. Guess what I’m wearing right now! 😉

Then I will sit down and write using the Pomodoro Technique.

Pomodoro Technique - A Detailed Beginner's Guide

What’s a writing vlog without a sneak peek of my current WIP? Well, you guys know the WIP I’m working on has Wren as the main character. This WIP is going great! My goal for this book is to get it in the 120,000 word range but I know that’s a pretty high goal.

You guys can check out My Writings page for a tiny bit more of information. I’m still pretty secretive over there too. 😅

Here’s a few collages/snippets!

Back to School Aesthetic & Flash Fiction Contest

If you guys know me, I love to do contests. To spice up this post a bit and get everyone ready for back to school, I’m having a contest!! This contest will be pretty simple. There are two types of things you can enter.

  1. You can make a back to school aesthetic and send it to me through my contact page.
  2. You can write a back to school flash fiction piece and send it to me through my contact page.

There will be two winners, one in the photography aesthetic section and one in the writing section. I’m not going to go through all the rules because we’ve done this often, but your entry has to be appropriate otherwise it will not be counted. For the flash fiction entries, your word limit is 1,000 words and does not need to have a title. (But you can if you want!)

Since school is coming up, this will be a very low-key contest so DO NOT STRESS about it! There will be no prizes except that the winners’ entries will be displayed on my blog. The deadline for this contest is July *cough* AUGUST 12 at midnight MDT and the winners will be announced the weekend following.

Have fun! Contact me if you have any questions!

And that’s it! I’ve never really done a lifestyle post before so tell me how it turned out! See y’all later! ❤

(Yes, I’m bringing back the memories…)

Are you going back to school? What design should I paint my white shoes? Do you want to hear more from my current WIP?

Meet My Main Character Wren (A Real Introduction) + Vacation Photo

Wren is so naughty. *sighs dramatically*

溜息 ため息 ためいき アリエル ディズニー GIF - Jpsigh Ariel Disney GIFs

I can not believe I’m still doing this post right now. *shakes head* The things writers do for their characters.

Of course, I get a call on my vacation from back at home. I go to pick up the phone and I hear a voice. It’s Wren. And if he’s calling, that means it can’t be good. I listen as he explains he may have posted on my blog, made a new page, and started a truth or dare game. I hung up right there.

What he didn’t know is that I took my iPad on my vacation. I was able to hop onto my blog and look at the “damage” he did.

Oh, Wren.

What am I going to do with you?

Shaking My Head GIF - Zootopia ZootopiaGifs Facepalm GIFs

But, because I’m NICE, I’m only grounding Wren for a week. Next post, he will do his truth or dare game. (So if you haven’t submitted your dares, you can here.

After his game, he’s kicked off the blog XD. That will be the last you’ll hear from him. (For a bit.)

Welp. This is exhausting and what I get when I leave. Well, I’m back after a week of vacation and two weeks without posting! Except for Wren-who posted without my permission-but, I guess he kind of did me a favor in keeping you guys “entertained.” I’m not so sure he is a good entertainer. At least he got some info through to you guys!

Okay, so y’all know I went on vacation, and sadly, I can’t tell you where I went, but I do have a picture for you.

Isn’t it great? *dances*

Also, I’m trying to catch up and read all of your wonderful posts so be on the lookout for me! 😉

Today I will *cough cough* properly *cough cough* introduce my main character, Wren. I’ve been thinking a lot about whether or not I should bring Wren on here but I guess that decision has already been solved. *glares at Wren*

I know some of you have been asking for information about my WIP and my characters. Today’s your lucky day! Here you go!

  • My main character’s name is Wren. (If you didn’t know that already.) He’s an 18-year-old annoying teenager who has just as much self-esteem to fill a small cup. Right now at least. And he thinks he hides it well. There’s only a couple of people who can make him believe in himself.
  • He used to be a VERY cocky person, proud of what he could do. He still is a bit. But that was before his accident. Before he hit rock bottom. (Literally.) Now he has prosthetic legs and wants nothing more than to get back to normal. (And revenge)
  • On a positive note, once you really get him going, there’s no stopping him. He’s that determined. The hard part is getting him past his doubts. He’s also sassy and highly argumentative. Just like me. So 90% of the time when we are together, we are arguing. Just facts XD.

This is probably my favorite segment! I’m putting a few quotes down below that Wren says/thinks throughout the book and hopefully you will get to know him better as a person. (Some of them crack me up XD) If you are in the reader (which most of us are XD admit it) click here to view the full experience!

“That’s the spirit,” I mumbled.

“And it’s ten o’clock at night! Aren’t we going to run into nocturnal animals?”

I cleared my throat. “Get to the point.”

I fidgeted with my thumbs. Was I really about to tell this strange girl how I’d become so weak? So vulnerable?

I cut her off. “I don’t need any more pity. I’ve had enough of it already.”

*laughing* The second one always cracks me up because it is so dumb XD!

Now it is time for some favorites! I always love creating favorite lists. (For some reason, I feel like I’m hosting a game show right now.)

Favorite food-some type of meat

Favorite color-green

Favorite clothing-“warrior clothing” (as he calls it)

Favorite place-anywhere he feels safe

Favorite time of day-anytime when it’s not dark

Favorite hobby-doesn’t have time for hobbies but if he did, it would probably be some type of sport

Favorite animal-a wren (ironic)

I just thought it would be fun to throw in some fun facts about Wren!

  • Wren’s name has a symbolic meaning
  • He has prosthetic legs
  • One of the people he trusts the most is a medic
  • He loves shooting guns
  • And doing dumb dangerous things
  • He’s an insomniac
  • He has a fear of falling
  • Wren lives in a sci-fi, dystopian, magic society

And that’s it! I hope you got to know Wren a bit better and maybe you’ll see him around some time!

What did you think of Wren? Can you relate to him at all? What are some of your favorite things? Who is your main character? Tell me below!

Aww, using my sign out gif for the first time in a long time makes me happy!

New Month New Goals {With Free Desktop Wallpaper!}

Hey guys! It has already been a month! Isn’t that crazy? I feel like just last week, I was doing my April wrap up post! And here we are now! I’ve decided instead of doing a wrap up post for May, I wanted to try something new! (You guys will have to tell me how you like it.) It is a new month. Which means we need new writing goals for this month. You guessed it, we are doing a goals post! And even if you aren’t a writer, you can still participate in this post! It is good for everyone, regardless if you aren’t a blogger or writer. Without further ado, let’s jump right in!

First, we are going to start with some guided questions that will help you create your goals for the month of June. If you would like, you can grab a piece of paper and a pencil. I suggest that because I know for a fact that if you write down all your goals, you are more likely to remember them and accomplish them! So hurry and go grab that piece of paper!

Quick question, before we get into the real questions. Why am I doing this post? Well, it’s summer for a lot of us which means we don’t have school, etc. So what better time to start writing? Hopefully, this post can get you into the groove so you can accomplish your monthly goals and your summer goals! Alright, I presume that you have your paper right now. If you don’t……*narrows eyes*. *Claps hands* Okie dokie!

What is your purpose in writing this book?

Think about that. Why are you writing this book? Why are you writing in general? Is it because you want to teach a truth or a message? Or maybe it is because you’ve had these characters talking in your head for the past month and you needed to write down their stories?

Wren: *Clears throat* Hey, your-

*Shoves him away* Sorry guys, he can’t come in yet. You’ll meet him soon! 😉

Or do you use writing as a way to travel to new places? As I like to say, everything exists. I believe in everything. Fairies, mermaids, gnomes, unicorns, etc.

Mermaid Mermaideunice GIF - Mermaid Mermaideunice Eunice GIFs

They are all real. If you can imagine it, it’s real. So, what is your purpose? Write that answer down and make sure you NEVER forget it. It will help you in rough times.

What do you want readers to learn from your book?

Is there a special message that you want to scream from the rooftops? Is there something you’ve always wanted the world to hear? Now’s your time to shine. Your book can change so many lives. It can change the WORLD. So let me ask you this, what do you want the world to hear?

*Claps hands* Now’s it’s time to get into the goal setting. You can set goals for just June, or for the whole summer, or even for the rest of the year! We are going to set two types of goals: an improvement goal and a time goal.

Your Improvement Goal

What do you want to improve on? Are you struggling with character development, scenes, internal conflict, villains? Are you struggling with finding inspiration or motivation? Are you struggling with finding time to write? Now take whatever you want to improve and figure out HOW you are going to improve that. Are you going to set time each day in the morning or night to write? Are you going to watch a YouTube video each week to improve your villains? Are you going to find a writing exercise to do each day? Make sure you write down your goal and make sure you complete it! (Note: This can apply for anything, not just writing. Maybe you need to improve at soccer, or practicing the piano!)

Your Time Goal

Now, you need to set a goal time wise. Are you going to finish your first draft by this deadline? Or maybe you are going to finish plotting by a certain time. Maybe you need to be a certain amount through the book by this date. Whatever you need to do, set a deadline for it. It will motivate you more. And make sure you write this goal down too! Write down how you are going to accomplish it before the due date.

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed this post and were able to write down some goals! I’ve created a desktop wallpaper for you to help you with your goals and the things you need to get done this June. You can grab the wallpaper right here!

Freedom was calling. It whispered to me as I stared at the ocean from my confining cage.

Come. Fly free. Live free.

The Call echoed every day and I knew I had to follow it. The only thing preventing me was my Master. The Master who had saved, raised, and loved me. She knew I had to leave. I saw it in her eyes. But I also saw her pain. Nevertheless, she took me to the shore and opened the cage.

Fly free. Live free. You are free.

For freedom might be letting go of the thing you love most.
