April Monthly Wrap Up + KotLC Challenge

Hey y’all! How’s everything been going? How are your writing prompts coming along? You officially have 11 more days to submit! (Yes I’m counting!) I’m so excited to read all of your entries! Today’s post is an April Monthly Wrap Up. I don’t usually do wrap up posts but today I’d thought I would give it a try and see if I want to continue doing wrap ups!

Writing Prompt Battle!

Perhaps this may have been my favorite month so far! I loved reading your answers for the KotLC challenge, I LOVED writing Two Things a Writer Must Never Do, I’m so happy that it was Maggie’s birthday, and my favorite post of all time was my most recent one, Writing Prompt Battle.

Amount of Words Written: 104,602 (Most counting towards blog posts and comments!)

Where Written: 3/4 on computer and 1/4 in notebook

WIPs Progress: Currently world building on one, and gone into full blown pantsing on the other.

~Bullet Journaling~

In March I was very thorough with my bullet journaling but as April rolled around, I was a bit more busy and didn’t have as much time to dedicate to my journal. Thus, I didn’t bullet journal hardy at all. I’m hoping that in May I can set aside more time for it. Question: would you guys be interested in bullet journal posts?

I honestly did not keep track of the books I read so let’s see how this goes.

Let the Sky Fall

Let the Sky Fall (Sky Fall, #1) by Shannon Messenger

Aaaaaand I forgot the rest of them. But I estimate that I read about six books in total.

I made it to FCCLA nationals and qualified for a track competition!

And that’s it for the Monthly Wrap Up! Tell me below if there are any other categories you would like me to add if I were to do another wrap up! Let’s jump into today’s KotLC prompt!

If you haven’t see the first post of this challenge check it out right here. Basically, at the beginning of each month and the end of each month, I will post a KotLC prompt for you to answer below. The challenge is to answer of all them! I will continue this until November when the book will be released! Here’s the prompt:

If you went on an adventure, which three KotLC characters would you take and why?

And that’s a wrap! Cut the cameras! Cue the credits!

First, I think it’d be SO awesome to read a post about bullet journaling! Second, how was Let the Sky Fall? I’m SUPER interested in reading that series but haven’t gotten to it yet. THIRD, for the KotLC challenge (which is ABSOLUTELY GENIUS, btw!!!) I would TOTALLY bring Keefe (that’s a MUST because without him I would probably die from lack of comic relief) XD, Sophie (because I would definitely end up dying if I had to face the Neverseen without abilities), aaaaand *mentally runs through all KotLC characters* *epically fails because there are so many* *decides to go with Fitz* *suddenly remembers Fitz has anger issues and things might get awkward between him and Sophie* *suddenly FORGETS if the two of them have actually made up yet* *begins wishing super hard that my poor Hunkyhair will go back to Sophie and tell her how HE feels and kick Fitz outta the way* *gets a random craving for mallowmelt while thinking about all of this* *eventually realizes that I’ve used way to many astericks to be legal* *doesn’t even know if I spelled astericks right* *does a quick Google search to find out if I was spelling asterick right just for my sanity* *learns that I was wrong and it’s really spelled asterisk* *decides to stop using asterisks because I’m just stalling this last character and is risking you staying up till 2 a.m. in the morning reading this* *is determined to stop rambling right now* *okay REALLY RIGHT NOW because I’ve finally figured out which character to go with while writing this* AND IMMA GONNA GO WIIIIITH Dex!!!! Just because the poor guy is always left out of everything. XD Also, do I get an award for using a lot of asterisks??? (not that I *cough* did it purely for that…) ;P (Really though, they get addicting after a while!) XD Congrats if you actually made it to the end of this comment!!!!!!! 😉 😀

    • THIS IS DA BEST COMMENT EVER!!!!!!!! AND ASTERICKS (welp, asterisks. Is it a risk to use em’? Welp, bad jokes. AHHHH) are da best!!!!!!!!!!!! *remembers the sentence started with Caps lock* Whoops.
And yes, I /am/ da queen of bad jokes. However did you find out?!

Really? Okie Dokie, I’ll put bullet journaling on the list of post ideas! Let the Sky Fall was great! I still like KotLC better though! It does have a good amount of swearing and I’m not a romance genre type of person (I mean I like it as a subplot in books if ya know what I mean) so maybe that’s why I couldn’t follow along with the plot as well but I still loved the characters! So if you like romance books, then this would be GREAT for you!! KEEFE IS A 100% MUST!! And TOTALLY Sophie too! *Agrees that things might get a little awkward with Sophie and Fitz* *Chanting that HunkyHair will kick Fitz outta the way* *Stomach rumbles* I want mallowmelt TOO! *Throws head back and laughs at your google searching* GOOO DEX! So true, Dex is always left out of everything. It started after he got put back into the “friend zone” in, let’s see, what book again? There are so many books I can’t even remember what happens in the 3rd one! XD *screams* OF COURSE! MY FRIENDS, VICTORIA OFFICIALLY WINS THE ASTERISKS AWARD!!! *cheering* *applause* *We all throw roses at you* *Confetti comes from the roof* Guess what!? I made it to the end of your comment! BEST COMMENT EVER!

  2. Beware… every time you put the word “kotlc” on your blog you’ll see a EEEEEE KOTLC in the comments from me, so just beware.
EEEEEE KOTLC!! if I went on an adventure with three kotlc characters it would be Keefe, Sophie, and Dex probably. Then I could get Keefe and Sophie to finally end up together 😉 and Dex could help me do that and build cool gadgets.

I liked the wrap up post! It was fun. And how was Let the sky fall? I’ve heard it was good 🙂

    • EEEEEE KOTLC! PERFECT CHOICE! Yes, we need to get those two together! And yes, cool gadgets for the win!
Thanks! So in summary, Let the Sky Fall was awesome, but I’m not a big romance person so if you like that, you would LOVE it! Let the Sky Fall was still an AMAZING book just like all Shannon Messenger books are! (Does this entire paragraph even make sense???? XD)

      • Yas we do!!
O ok sounds good! I bet it was awesome! Personally I don’t mind romance as long as it’s kept clean. And lol, your comment made sense!

    • Ikr? When I got my Grammarly report, my eyes fell out of their sockets! XD
Yesssssss. I’m on the 3rd book right now and Julian just did something stupid, like always. XD Let the Sky Fall was great! I would highly recommend it if you love reading romance-based novels with action and adventure!
