Be More Productive With Me

Yo! What’s up? I’ve got a great post for y’all today. I had another post planned but I really got into the productive mode last night and decided to post about this instead.

First off, I’d like to say THANK YOU to all who submitted a letter to Chloe hoping that she will get well soon. It meant a lot to her and a lot to me. THANK YOU again!!! Second, I was going through my posts and realizing that a lot of my posts kinda aren’t related to fangirl stuff. But I guess that’s okay because I post about a bunch of different topics, right?

I feel like a youtuber today and I kinda want to spin my fingers and say “let’s get started!” *Does just that* Let’s jump into it!!

Like my jumping gif? Sorry, I’m getting distracted, but here’s the story behind today’s post. Last night, I was sitting on my bed, looking at my mess of a room and thinking wow, I want to get this cleaned up. And maybe while I’m at it, I can change my daily routine too. And those thoughts got me into a spiral of more productive thoughts. So in two hours, I finished cleaning my room. (I was working on it for 30 mins a day and wasn’t getting anywhere before deciding to actually finish it that night)

And I loved the feeling of a wide open room. And it made me want to be even more productive! So I decided to switch up my schedule a bit.

Here’s my old daily routine:

6:35 am: alarm goes off

6:42 am: alarm rings again

6:52 am: alarm rings

6:55 am: Sitting in front of closet deciding what to wear

7:02 am: Getting ready in bathroom

7:15 am: Packing backpack

7:20 am: Eating breakfast

7:30 am: Family scripture reading time.

7:55 am: On my way to school.

8:15am – 1:30 pm: School (Fun or not fun: can’t decide)

1:30 pm: Eatting lunch at school.

2:00pm – 3:00pm: Track practice.

3:00 pm: I arrive home and get on the computer for blog, homework, and writing.

5:30 pm: Dinner

6:00 pm: Family time or more writing my book time

9:00 pm: In bed and reading

10:00 pm lights out

Can you kinda see what’s wrong with this schedule? It seems like I’m being productive, but I’m not. So, let’s see if we can change some things. Here’s my new daily schedule that I’m trying to work hard to accomplish each morning.

6:00 am: alarm goes off, and I snooze it

6:05 am: alarm rings again, and I get up. I get out of bed, grab lime water I made the night before, and change into exercise clothes.

6:15 am: Meditation

6:30 am: Stretch/Exercise

6:45 am: Shower

7:20 am: Eat a HEALTHIER breakfast

7:30 am: Family scripture reading time.

7:55 am: I’m on my way to school.

8:15am – 1:30 pm: School (Fun or not fun: can’t decide)

1:30 pm: Eat lunch at school.

2:00pm – 3:00pm: Track practice.

3:00 pm: I arrive home and get on the computer for blog, homework, and writing.

5:30 pm: Dinner

6:00 pm: Family time or more writing my book time

9:00 pm: In bed and reading

9:30 pm: Lights out

I CAN BREATHE NOW. See how much more I was able to accomplish? Now: guess what? It’s YOUR turn. You get to switch your daily routine with me to see if you can find out how to be more productive. (Btw, I 100% think you should add meditation into your schedule! It helps me A LOT. And that’s coming from someone who hates yoga and that kind of stuff.)

  1. Oooh, thanks for this post!! It’s very helpful! I think, on a scale from 1-10 of being productive, I’d say I’m 7 or 8. I can be pretty productive for about a week or two, but then it just goes to my old routine and I have to force myself to have a new routine again. But..I guess not too bad, right?

  2. Awesome post!! I have been really trying to be more productive lately, and have even resolved to wake up at six am every morning except for Friday and the weekends to either write or exercise. Your schedule is a lot like mine!! Also what kind of meditation do you do? 🙂

  3. AWESOME POST, GIRL!!!!!!!!! I’ve been trying REALLY hard to start getting up earlier, but I think I love sleep more than I should. (*glaring at myself and saying, ‘It didn’t use to always be this way’*) XDD Anyway, I think I’m sorta productive. I have a LOT of school which, ngl, takes up like seven to eight hours of my day. Ugh. Soooo I get all that done and don’t normally have time for anything else. 😭 But I’m gonna try to manage my time better and be more productive!!!!!! <33
