Happy One Month Anniversary!

Hello fans! Today is my one month anniversary since I started this blog! Yay! It might not be as big as those who had their one year anniversary (congrats btw!) but I wanted to celebrate this little milestone.

I thought I would do a couple of fun things in this post. First, I’m going to start with a few tags I have to catch up on (yes I’m using this post as a post to catch up on with my tags) and then a fun surprise at the end! ‘Cause today’s a day to celebrate!

Peer Pressure Tag

The Rules
  1. Link back to the creator. ( bluemallowmelt )
  2. Provide a link to the person who tagged you. Thank you so much That One Crazy Girl from Random Thoughts of my Fandoms for showing me this tag and thanks to Akriti from Recipe of Life for tagging me!
  3. Answer all questions honestly. No lying!
  4. Come up with 5 questions of your own. (4 have to be about peer pressure; 1 can be random and about whatever)
  5. Tag at least 10 people and provide links to their blogs.
  6. Recommend at least 5 books or songs you see everywhere/are very popular that you’ve read or listened to.
  7. Use the hashtag #peer pressure tag for easier visibility.
  • Tell us any one incident of peer pressure that happened in your school?

The rules said to answer truthfully, and honestly? I don’t know. XD I wish I could provide more of an answer to this question, but I cannot.

  • What is the most forceful thing you have ever done?

Umm, probably getting up in the front of the class. You know, when your teachers make you and you really want to pretend to be sick that day? And when you do get up and your hands are shaking like crazy, so crazy that you can’t see the paper? Yep that’s the most forceful thing I have done.

  • What is your hobby? Has anyone influenced it?

My main hobby is writing and reading, and no, no one’s influenced it but I do have a side hobby that my friends have influenced. I love to dance, but I thought that I wasn’t really that good and I kinda kept that hobby to myself. But once I showed my friends, they helped encourage me to pursue that dream. So now I hope I can take dancing lessons.

  • Have you ever pressured someone to do something that might land them in trouble? If yes, tell us in detail.

Ehh- I’ve pressured my friends to do weird, funny, and troublesome stuff, but none of them have actually landed as far as “trouble.” But believe me, some have gotten close!

  • What is your 2021 goal?

My goal is to not care what others think about me. I’ve been really trying hard to work on that. (At least, I’m getting somewhere, lol.)

My Questions:

Have you ever done something that your friends have pressured you to do?

Have you ever rode a ride at a theme park because someone wanted you to?

Have you ever refused someone during a game of truth or dare?

Do you think your friends would help stand up for you if you didn’t want to do something?

Do you like rain? (Random question)

I recommend:

The False Prince Series

The Traitors Game Series

Keepers of the Lost Cities

To Kill a MockingBird

The Rules

Thank you Ananya Sharma@Drawing My Fantasies for tagging me!

  • Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you and link back to their blog.
  • Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
  • Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
  • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.

1.Movies or Books?

Ahh! Hard question! Because I love both. But if I HAD to pick to one, it would be books. But movies are a close second, trust me.

2.Bollywood or Hollywood?

Excuse me for one moment. *Has to look up what the difference is* I’m going to say Hollywood because that’s the only one I’m familiar with. (Yeah, I know I’m naive.)

3.What is that one thing which you cannot tolerate at all?

The sound of nails on a chalkboard, or someone chewing ice. And my neighbor’s cat.

4.Dogs or cats?

DOGS! I’m sorry for all the cat lovers, but I would rather own a dog.

5.Joe Biden or Donald Trump (I guess this became controversial…LOL)

*Doesn’t know much about politics, lol*

6.Who is your favorite actor?

My favorite actor is……..Will Smith. He always manages to make me smile.

7.Your addiction?

My addiction: anything sweet (other than chocolate ice cream). So, you know, if any of you want to mail me………..jk.

8.Netflix or Prime Video?

I’ve only ever watched two movies/shows on Prime Video, one of which includes Baby Shark, so I pick Netflix.

9.Do you have any bad habit(s)?

Yes. I tend to…rip the threads on my clothing. XD

10.Dark Chocolate or White Chocolate?

Neither. But if I had to chose, dark chocolate. White chocolate has always been too rich for me.

11.If you had to choose between money and love, what would you choose and why?

Love, because everyone needs love. You can still be happy without money.

My Questions:

  1. What is your biggest fear?
  2. What inspires you?
  3. What fills you with childlike wonder?
  4. What is your favorite physical activity?
  5. If you had more courage what would you do differently in your life now?
  6. Can you close your eyes and raise your eyebrows?
  7. What is at the top of your bucket list?
  8. What is on the walls of the room you are in?
  9. Are you a morning person or a night owl?
  10. One thing you know now that you wish you had known as a kid?
  11. If you inherited $100,000 right now, how would you spend it?

Alrighy, on to the surprise! My surprise is:

Truth or Dare! Next time, I will be doing a truth or dare post and I want you guys to either dare me do to something or have me tell a truth. It could be you daring me to read a book, watch a certain movie, share a peek from one of my stories, or just a random thing! Though, I ask with your dares, not too intense please! And truths could be maybe my opinion on a book or secrets to my writings. Next time, I will update you on how these dares and truths went…

Also, I guess I’m really in a happy mood for you guys today because I’m going to give you a snippet of one of my stories. This is the story that involves the character Bentley, so if you don’t know her yet you can check her out here. (Me just realizing there are a lot of links in this post…)

Here’s the snippet from the middle of the book.

“Bentley now had a distaste for being unconscious. She had gone unconscious two times a day and hoped not to break her record. When she came to, she didn’t want to open her eyes. Even though she hated being unconscious, this time she had a dream. She was back in Yellowstone with her mother. And for some reason, the boy, the figure, was with them too.

Bentley kept her eyes closed and tried to feel where she was. She was in something moving, a car, or maybe the ambulance taking her to safety. She sat upright which was a little concerning since in if she was in an ambulance she should’ve been on a stretcher. Bentley finally decided to open her eyes, though she wished she hadn’t. It seemed like she was in some sort of delivery truck, that weirdly, had four seats on her side and four seats across from her.

Chichi, Brandon, and a girl sat across from Bentley, unconscious and strapped in. Bentley’s heart took a leap. Were they being kidnapped? Another boy sat on the very edge seat, but he was awake and not strapped in.

Did he figure out how to escape his binds?

It was then Bentley realized she was strapped in and that Oscar, a kid from school sat on one side of her, and on the other side of her, sat another girl she didn’t recognize. The fourth seat to the girl’s left sat empty. Up front to Bentley’s left was a divider with a small window. Bentley sat far from it, but could still see through it. There were two men in the front seats, driving this van, talking quietly to themselves.

Bentley turned back her attention in front of her. The boy who was not unconscious was watching her. He wore a black hoodie, black pants and had dark brown hair, almost as dark as to match his outfit. He sat there folding his arms, relaxed, but on edge, confident, but hesitant. That hesitant feeling felt familiar….

Bentley’s eyes wandered up to his eyes. She froze, realizing who this was.

He must’ve seen her sudden worry because he laughed.

“You’re…you’re….” Bentley couldn’t quite find the words she needed to say.

“Yes,” he said with a slight movement upward with his head, “That’s me.”

A thousand questions filled Bentley’s mind. Where were they? Where were they going? Did her mother know where she was?

“I’m sorry I had to knock you all unconscious. It just made it easier to get you into here.”

“Where are we?” Bentley cleared her throat. “Let me rephrase that: where are we going?”

The boy hesitated. “I wish I could tell you but I can’t. But I can tell you that we are going somewhere for your own safety.”

“You kidnapped us? I was safe where I was!” Bentley felt anger roll through her in waves. She was being taken to be safe? She had to leave behind her mom. What would her mom say when she found Bentley wasn’t at home?

Her sculptures. What…what about her sculptures? The anger inside her quickly melting into sadness. Her beautiful sculptures. All left behind. Bentley would never see them again.

“I know you think-” the boy cautiously tried to explain but he was drowned out when Bentley felt a ringing in her ears. Then the pain came back, even more, intense than the last time.

Did that mean something?

The burning in her heart grew and she cried out. Again? Why again? She wanted to push her hands again her ribcage, but couldn’t since she was strapped in. Bentley titled her face down and squeezed her eyes shut, hoping some sort of pressure would stop this feeling and hoping that the tears that were forming couldn’t get out. She gritted her teeth so hard she was afraid that they would shatter. The boy stood up in the van yelling for help from the two men upfront.

Just stop the pain.

And Bentley blacked out.”

And that’s my book! Hope you liked it! Also hoped you enjoyed this post. I will see ya’ll next time with that truth or dare post (shudders). Byeeee!
